Impact

By developing a sustainable revenue model combining strategic community partnerships, educational workshops, and memberships, WeCollective demonstrates an inclusive platform for meaningful public discourse, co-creation, and spiritual engagement within non-faith and non-philanthropic frameworks, without compromising mission-driven values.

Project overview

The WeCollective is a platform that elevates diverse and silenced voices by cultivating thought leadership, ethical governance, and impactful dialogue to drive systemic change on today’s most pressing issues. Rather than dismantling, it innovates by recentering diverse perspectives and championing advocacy to build spaces where all voices shape the future.

Problem

How might we create an inclusive platform and safe space that empowers people and communities to engage in meaningful public discourse, co-creation, and spirituality while fostering cross-sector collaboration and ensuring sustainable impact?

Challenges

The WeCollective must be a platform that bridges physical and digital spaces while authentically centering marginalized voices within a non-faith-based, non-philanthropic framework, paired with a viable monetization model that sustains the mission without compromising its values.

User Research

The goal of Magnolia Development’s Website redesign was to attract clients who aligned with Magnolia’s culture and values.

To learn more about our ideal client, I conducted user interviews to identify different stakeholder types and their specific goals and attitudes.

Personas

After conducting user interviews, I created two personas to identify client types including their unique needs and goals.

The Business-Minded Executive persona is mainly concerned with profit and ensuring they are investing their money wisely.
The Tech-Savvy Executive persona is concerned about technical acumen and receiving a technically robust product.

Journey Map

After identifying different client types, I created a journey map to outline the client's journey in finding a web development consultancy.

Low-Fidelity Design

I created a low-fidelity prototype to set the stage for the structure and flow of the website.

Redesign

After conducting usability testing, I created a high-fidelity prototype of the Magnolia Development website.

Some changes included adding images and iconography for better recognition, removing squiggly dividers for a more professional feel, and adjusting blog post sizes to maintain consistency.

Mobile Design

I redesigned Magnolia Development for mobile to ensure clarity, accessibility, and smooth navigation. I streamlined content, prioritized key actions, and implemented responsive layouts to maintain visual hierarchy without overwhelming users. The result is a responsive design that enhances usability without losing the essence of the desktop experience.
